Loridale Vindicates Backing In Suffolks Marblehead Purse SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., May 18.— A. H. Warners Loridale ran to expectations in taking down major honors in the Marblehead Purse at Suffolk Downs this afternoon, but not without giving his host of backers many anxious moments. A length and three-quarters separated the Rustom Sirdar colt from S. Finkelsteins Whit Whiz at the end of the six furlongs, with Ralph Lowes Pictus finishing third. The majority of the chilled 7,822 patrons installed the Warner colt as favorite and received .20, while the time of the allowance dash was 1:11% over a lightning fast oval. Apprentice Charles Burr was the riding star of the afternoon, winning the first two races with Jeep Supply and Be Proud, then after sitting out the third event, extended his victory skein to three by piloting Tamarack Stables Sickle Did to an easy score in the fourth race. ,,
