I • New York Notes BELMONT PARK, Elmont, L. I., N. Y., May 25. Mrs. George D. Wideners Knowitall, a son of Eight Thirty and One Best, is not eligible for any of the Belmont stakes. He will be named for many fixtures later in the season. Ed Christmas came up from Maryland and reported that the good face mare, Gal-lorette, had been shipped from Maryland to Kentucky to go to the court of Mah-moud. rHill Prince, 1950s Horse of the Year, is now doing a two-mile gallop daily. According to trainer Casey Hayes, he has never acted better. Mrs. J. A. Coburn sold Segment to Harry Marcus. George Coburn will continue to train the plater. Mrs. Coburn also sold Croesus to Mrs. G. R. Allen. Joseph E. Kyle is acting as clerk of scales in the absence of Calvin Rainey, who is now at Delaware Park engaged in preliminary work in connection with his duties as steward at the forthcoming meeting there. Norval "Buck" Schwartz advised this morning that the C. Ewing Tuttle string, headed by Tenure, would be campaigned during the Delaware Park session. Top member of this stable, the good handicap performer," Double Brandy, is currently on the sidelines but, according to present plans, will be picked up about June 15 with a fall campaign in view.
