Seize Strategic Materials HONG KONG, China, May 25.— Strategic materials valued at 7,000 bound for Macao were ordered confiscated today following Chinese Nationalist charges that the Portuguese colony was being used to funnel war supplies to Red China. Authorities said the confiscated material included 5,702 gallons of gasoline, diesel oil and kerosene, and 66 tires and tubes. British Readying Troops LONDON, England, May 25.— Britain announced today that 4,200 paratroopers will be sent to the Middle East within 10 days because of "unsettled conditions" there. The 16th Paratroop Brigade probably will be stationed in Cyprus, only a little more than 500 miles from Iran.
