Fiorentina Heads Long Shot Winners on Suffolk Program SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., May 25. — A steady stream of longshots headed by Phil Godfreys Fiorentina, winner of the fourth race, accounted for the first six events over the sloppy racing strip at Suffolk Downs todat Fiorentina, well-beaten in a pair of starts at Jamaica this spring, found the "off" track to her liking and outfinished Shangrila Stables Cross End in a six-furlong dash to pay a scattering of backers* 19.80. In the third race, a maiden dash for sophomores, L. G. Cushing, South Duxbury Mass., owner-trainer-breeder, sent out the winner in his Dainty One. It was the fifth time the homebred daughter of Sky Raider — Minnas Agent had been postward in her career, but she displayed a definite liking for the footing and paid the handsome mutuel of 0.80. When Shangrila Stables Bleary Bob tow-roped his field in the sixth race, including the well-backed Ugly Chile from the bam of Mrs. Bill Hinphy, it marked the downfall of the fifteenth straight favorite. Bleary Bob finished 13 lengths before Ugly Chile in the mile and U sixteenth claiming event and paid 1.60.
