Apprentice Patrick Moores Eyesight Found Defective WASHINGTON PARK, Homewood, III., May 25.— An additional four rulings were handed down today by the stewards of the Lincoln Fields Racing Association. Included in the official regulations was the unusual edict covering the defective eyesight of apprentice" Patrick Moore. The latter was found to be essentially without the sight of his left eye. The four rulings follow: "After a series of incidents involving apprentice jockey Patrick Moore, including a 10-day suspension and subsequently a spill that caused two horses to fall, it was decreed by the stewards that Patrick Moore submit to an eye test, during which time he was ordered off all mounts. "The results of this test showed conclusively that Patrick Moore is essentially blind in his left eye. "Thus, the stewards hereby order apprentice jockey Patrick Moore not to accept mounts for the remainder of the Lincoln Fields meeting, and his case is referred to the Illinois Racing Board for any action it deems adequate in this unusual case. "It was further agreed by the stewards that Patrick Moore, as a jockey, constitutes a definite menace to man and beast." "James Anthony Alteria is hereby denied an exercise boy license for action detrimental to the best interest of racing, and is denied the privileges of the race track." "Groom Walter T. Murdock is hereby suspended for the balance of the meeting-f or misrepresentation and for obtaining money under false pretenses and his case is referred to the Illinois Racing Board." "Owner-trainer James Emery is hereby fined 0 for entering and attempting to start the horse Signior in the first race, May 24, in an unfit condition."
