BROWNANNE, well handled, raced evenly during the first half mile, was sent between horses during the drive and was up to dispose of REBATE in the last strides. REBATE, never far back, reached the lead during the drive, but could not withstand the top one. PROMISE began fast, raced prominently throughout and held on well under brisk urging. COUNTRY EDITOR lacked early speed, but finished fast DANADA RED lost ground at the stretch turn, but closed strongly when straight for the drive. CORN SPICE made the pace for a half mile, then faltered. DREAM COMFORT had early speed, but failed to stay. SOMA LAD had a rough trip. CHILLA QUEEN began sluggishly and was never a serious contender. MR. BULL tired. DONWARD showed nothing. ROSY GOING was far back throughout. Scratched— 13182 Tomato, 110; 20329 Bother, 109; 27628 Lt. Bill, 114. Overweight— Dream Comfort, 2 pounds; Rosy Going, 3. BIG DANCE, a keen factor from the beginning, went to the front when settled in the stretch, continued willingly under punishment and held BOWLED OVER safe. The latter, never far back, assumed command nearing the stretch, gave way to BIG DANCE, then came again under brisk urging, but could not overtake the winner and just missed. WAR HAL raced evenly and had on mishap. THE FARMER could not get to the leaders when set down through the stretch. BIG HERALDER raced wide. FENELANE gave way after displaying early speed. MON SPEED gradually improved position to the stretch, responded well when set down in the drive and, after disposing of COCK CROW, won going away. COCK CROW went to the front at once, made the pace until inside the stretch, then was unable to hold the winner, although much the best of the others. WESTERN FRONT was unable to overtake the leaders when hard urged through the stretch. MISS TEXAS tired after racing prominently to the final furlong. HAPPY ALL was outrun. RESORT began sluggishly. TECHNICAL raced wide throughout. BIG CASINO was never dangerous. BOSWELL QUEEN forced COCK CROWS pace to the stretch, then gave way. JATAK quit badly after displaying early foot. NJGHTLIFE raced evenly and saved ground to the stretch, responded to punishment during the drive and, after disposing of the leaden, won gofttf away. LUCKY MICKY lacked early speed, closed well when set down in the drive, but could not threaten the . top one. PIP PIP, a sharp factor from the beginning, raced GAY LIBERTY into defeat entering the stretch, i established a clear lead, but tired during the final furlong. €AY HENRIETTA failed to rally when set down through the stretch. LATE BREEZE tired during the drive. GAY LIBERTY engaged PIP PIP to the last eighth, then gave way. ANGLE BAR was never dangerous. GOLDEN BOLT disliked the good track and would not extend herself after showing early speed. MAD CORD was never prominent and had no excuse. NOLA, never far back and well handled, assumed command after disposing of MEL INDIAN, continued willingly during the stretch run and held BULLET CEE safe. The latter, in hand and steadied to the stretch, was sent to the middle of the track for the drive and closed fast under punishment. SIGNALS BLOKE, on the inside throughout, was eased back when caught in close quarters at the upper turn, came again when clear, but could not reach the leaders. COPPER POT held on willingly in a good effort and had no mishap. BEAU NASH could not keep up after showing early speed. SQUIDGE was never dangerous after the break. DRAKE WIDGEON could not threaten. MEL INDIAN went to the front early, made the pace for five-eighths mile, but weakened when challenged by NOLA. MY JAM had early foot, but failed to stay. VINITA WAR raced wide. UNITED NATION saved ground while racing evenly to the stretch, was sent to the inside for the drive and, responding to vigorous urging, wore down the leaders, then held MONEY LENDER safe. The latter, away slowly and far back to the final quarter, closed with a rush, but could not overtake the winner. TACONY assumed command at once, made the pace until near the sixteenth post, then faltered. BRIGHT STEEL raced nearest TACONY to the last eighth, but weakened badly during the late stages. HOT CHOCOLATE could not better his position when set down through the stretch. MIVAL raced evenly to the final furlong, then . weakened. WISENHEIMER could not keep up. The latter gradually improved position after the opening quarter, finished fast under punishment, but could not reach the top one. BEE LEE TEE, on the outside and racing evenly to the stretch, remained in the middle of the track for the drive, but could not get to the leaders when hard urged. KY. COLONEL held on well throughout, but failed to rally when set down through the stretch. TIGER MATT was hustled to the front early, engaged BULLY BOY to the last eighth, then weakened. ILLUSTRATE saved ground throughout, but failed to stay during the stretch run. FANCY FLYER began slowly and never reached serious contention. SKYRAIDING showed nothing. WHATANURSE had early speed, drifted out at the stretch turn and could not threaten the leaders when straightened for the drive. GLORYS CHANCE could not better his position when hard ridden through the stretch. BILLY BUMPS raced wide. OATKA was never a serious threat KY. HASH was far back throughout.
