Over 500 Horses Expected For Northville Downs Meet NORTHVILLE, Mich., June 5. — Once again it is harness horse time at Northville Downs beginning Monday night. Officials look forward to Northville Downs greatest season. Stable room is at a premium as a great array of racing talent prepares for the opening. More than 500 horses ae expected on the grounds as the 54 nights of racing gets underway. Stables are on hand from every section of the country. Again Tommy Winn, popular driving ace who won top race winning honors for the past two years, will be ready with, his 16-horse stable. Jack Williams, the Grand Rapids teamster who was runner-up to Winn last year, is returning. Leon Boring -of the Dr. James Blanchard stables at Morenci, Mich., is reporting. This is a large stable of consistent horses, including pacers Margaret Abbedale and Bessie Eblis. Archie Niles and family will be ready along with scores of Northville favorites. i s «
