HASH, well handled, gradually Improved her position* to the stretch, responded to punishment, and was up to dispose of the leaders in the last sixteenth. SHARP TOOL, never far back, reached the lead between calls in the stretch, after racing by IRRAWADDY, but could not hold the winner. IRRAWADDY, a keen factor from the beginning, raced DOLLYS IMAGE into defeat before reaching the stretch, but faltered during the drive. DANADA RED could not better his position when set down through the stretch. ACTNICE, crowded badly during the final furlong, could not threaten the leaders. DOLLYS IMAGE raced prominently to the stretch, but had nothing left for the drive. CATNIP HILL was never dangerous. BROWNANNE was outrun. WISKTIGER showed nothing. BEAU K00 failed to stay after showing early speed, then raced wide. MONEY BOX was unfit for his engagement. Scratched— 3011 H Donward, 110. Overweight— Wisktiger, 2 pounds; Money Box, 3. PORT BEAUMONT, well ridden and forwardly placed from the start, closed gamely under brisk urging and wore down GALLAJACI in the last strides. GALLAJACI, never far back, went to the front nearing the stretch, held a good lead when settled for the drive, but was unable to hold the top one. OBRIENS PAT lacked early speed, saved ground entering the stretch, but could not get to the leaders. ARAB MISS, outrun during the first half mile, finished willingly under brisk urging. SENATOR GUY could not keep up after showing early speed. ROBINS BLUE began fast, but dropped back soon after the break. GOOD-SHOPPER began sluggishly and raced wide. AMITAF failed to stay after displaying early speed. SICKLE BABY was through early. Overweight— Arab Miss, 2 pounds; Robins Blue, 1. Good-Shopper claimed by Grace Kosibas Stable. BEST OF BREED, smartly handled, moved up fast after the start, raced by LEAS SON during the stretch run and then lasted to withstand MR. TWEETY. The latter was outrun early, saved ground when sent up on the inside for the drive and reached the lead between calls, but could not hold the winner. LEASE HOUND raced prominently placed throughout and had no mishap. LEAS SON, away slowly, was hustled to the front before going a quarter, opened a clear lead, but tired badly during the drive. SCOTCH JACK was weakly handled during the stretch run. SO GRAND was outrun. PIXEY SAL, rank at the post, failed to stay after starting alertly. FOURTH RACE 4 1-2 FURLONGS. MASTERSON, outrun to the stretch, was sent between horses during the drive, disposing of SADDLERS JOY in the last strides. SADDLERS JOY was sent to the front early, made the pace until near the finish and could not withstand the winner. DIXVILLE, caught in a tangle soon after the break, moved up fast when clear, remained on the outside for the drive, but could not overtake the leaders, although probably best- GEORGE DAVIE lacked early speed. ALL BRITISH saved ground while racing evenly to the stretch, was kept to the inside for the drive and, responding to punishment, wore down ROBIN RED in the last sixteenth. ROBIN RED was sent to the front early, made the pace under steady handling, tired during the drive and could not withstand the winner, although much the best of the others. FRIENDLY SANDS, slow to begin and outrun to the stretch, closed fast on the extreme outside. JESSICA B. began fast, engaged ROBIN RED until inside the stretch, then faltered. RARE KNAVE saved ground when outrun to the last three eighths, was taken to the middle of the track to secure racing room entering the stretch and, after taking command, held MONEY LENDER safe. The latter, never far back, finished willingly under b,risk handling but could not hold the top one while easily besting the others. FLASHY KAY was sent into command early, made the pace until inside the stretch, then faltered. SKYRAIDING tired after racing forwardly placed to the stretch. SALE PRICE began fast but dropped back immediately after the break and was never dangerous thereafter.
