Centennial Will Attract Stables From Many Points Reynolds Brothers, Ness Units Coming From Suffolk Downs IJTTLETQN, Colo., June 5.— Racing fans at Centennial Parks meeting which opens Saturday, June 30, will see horses who have campaigned in every sector of the nation in competition. While the majority of the horses will be from the Middle West and the Western part of the country, there are a good number that will come from points as far East as the New England area. Most prominent among the latter is the powerful twenty-horse aggregation being sent to Centennial Park by the Reynolds Bros, of Fort Worth, Tex. The stable is currently racing at Suffolk Downs, but according to word received from trainer Clyde Locklear, he expects to have horses here in time for the opening-day program. Another stable from Suffolk will be that of William Offerman, the St. Louis, Mo., owner. Trainer Elmer Ness has three horses at Suffolk for Offerman. Heading the band will be the fleet Flaming Bush, who finished third in last years inaugural Colorado Mile. A stable which raced at Delaware Park with success last year, and is coming to Centennial this season, is *the nine horse band of Miss Alice Likens. A number of contingents will ship here from California with several already on the grounds. Among those now stabled at Centennial Park at the present are those of: Al Gomez, the Loomis, Calif., horseman with nine head; Lee Burkes, wit five, horses; HerbEerry, who has fouV nead! rbr; H. M. Welborn, the Arizona cattleman, and Eddie Presnell with a public stable of 10. Word has been received from Portland Meadows that a number of the better stables now racing at Portland will ship here. One of the certain trainers to ship to Centennial is Walter Jarvis, who has eight horses for L. M. Byrd. Jarvis also holds the contract on the promising apprentice rider, Lonnie Knowles. Among the better stables shipping here from the Middle West are those of Jess Byrd, currently putting on a successful campaign in Chicago, and Lyo Lee, the Arizona trainer who is bringing seven horses to Centennial Park from Fairmount. From Omaha, Centennial will draw such well-known aggregations as those handled by Jimmy Jordan, Earl Beezley and Paul Schmitz. Jordan will bring the very successful three-year-old Phil D., while the stars of the Beezley group include the consistent H a i r b o w and the fleet Ill Be. Schmitz will bring Mr. and Mrs* Charles McDonoughs Mad Moment, winner of last years Colorado Mile.
