BULL HYDE saved ground while moving to the leader and weakened in the final strides. DOUG TURNESA raced forwardly placed, but lacked a menacing rally. SUPTELA ran an even race. INDICATED faltered after racing with the pace. POLYPHONY was outrun. NEVER BETTER. was fractious in the gate and showed nothing. NO CHANCE was through early. WAVE-AGAIN broke down badly when taken up sharply due, to being in close quarters along the backstretch. KING WATCH moved into the first flight after a half mile, but lacked a closing rally. PETES VIGIL joined the leader on the turn and faltered. ROUGH MES mild rally came too late. ZAGGING was hard pressed for the lead and faltered. PERSIAN ROAD weakened. ON GUARD raced forwardly placed and drifted out while tiring. FAMILY retired early, as did SOUNDINGS. REHEARSER, closer than usual to the early pace, assumed command in the early stretch and drew clear to win easily. TOUSSIANT rapidly attained a commanding lead, held sway to the stretch, but was no match. GALWAY BOY failed to threaten while rallying mildly. RECURRING raced evenly and fell while being pulled up. WILLIAMSBURG, slow to settle into stride, outfinished the others from the outside. THRONE raced forwardly placed, but lacked a rally. REWING held the runner-up position to the early stretch and weakened. AMBROSE could not keep up after three-eighths of a mile. IDEALIST was green. FIFTH RACE 3-4 MILE out of chute. The latter was hustled along the inside and steadied, saved ground while being rated in front, but was unable to resist the winner. KING MOWLEE, under steadying restraint while formidable early, weakened slightly in the final stages. BULL, in front at the start, could not keep up. UP BEAT faltered badly throughthe final furlong. The latter, away alertly and allowed to drop back while lacking sufficient early speed, swung extremely wide for his challenge and was wearing down the top one. LEADING HOME, much used to dispose of BIRCHIE, faltered through the final furlong. LARAN failed to menace. BIRCHIE faded badly after duelling with LEADING HOME. ADILE showed nothing.
