Six Will Oppose Tilenny at Suffolk Cataldo Handicap Runner Has Agstract, De Luxe and Charleston to Beat Today SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., June 5.; — Tilenny, Anthony Cataldos handicap star, fresh from a triumph in the Tomasello Memorial Handicap here on Memorial Day, heads a field of seven named to contest the Cedar Glen Purse, which highlights tomorrows nine-race program. Each of the rivals in the mid-week feature have been prominent in handicaps this season and one of the most interesting mile and one-sixteenth tests should result. In addition to Tilenny, the others in the Cedar Glen are Cobbles Stables Abstract, M and M Stables Lambent, Mrs. True Davis, Jr.s, De Luxe, Oakhurst Farms Brick, Ralph Lowes Regal and Phil Schwartz Charleston. Abstract was third in the Tomasello; Lambent has been close in stake competition; De Luxe won the Narragansett Special as his most coveted triumph last season; Charleston won the recent mile and 70 yards Puritan Handicap and the others have been successful in allowance company besides being chief contenders in handicaps. Off Track Likely The prospects of an "off" track are very good for tomorrow and that moves Tilenny up many lengths. The son of Selalbeda was winning his first race of the year by taking the top honors in the Tomasello and will again have the services of the greatly improved apprentice Charles Burr. His margin over All at; Once in that race was three-quarters of a length. Abstract was beaten about three and a quarter lengths and tomorrow will be getting a weight shift of six pounds in his favor. Tilenny carried 109 in the handicap and must pick up 117 in tomorrows event. The Cobbles Stables hope picks up two pounds to bring his actual weight to 119. Charleston is the highweight of tomorrows field with 120, but the manner in which the son of Peace Chance has been performing this season, suggests that the impost will not be a hindrance. A fit horse when he made his seasonal debut, Charleston won a sprint in convincing fashion, then followed that triumph with the score over top caliber handicap performers in the Puritan. De Luxe has not as yet attained his peak performance but the erratic son of Bull Lea cannot be eliminated in the Cedar Glen. When the Calumet Farm cast-off is in a running mood he is hard to handle despite the conditions of the track. He has been given a short rest since a failure to capture the Governors Handicap two and a half weeks ago. The others have always been partial to the local racing strip and round out a formidable test for the Cataldo stallion.
