Hirsch; bred by King Ranch. WENT TO POST— 6:C6. OFF AT 6:061 EASTERN DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. LONG BOW was occasionally taken in hand while well placed behind the leaders, came to the outside and made a guick move to take command on the final turn, then remained under extreme pressure to maintain his advantage. MR. BOOTS was alertly sent, to the front, drew out when challenged at the far turn, then could not resist the winners charge entering the stretch, but continued determinedly under strong punishment. TUS ONE, a sharp factor, was hard ridden in the drive, but could not get up. BURTS REWARD, in hand while unable to contend early, rallied only mildly. JAUNTY FOX was not a serious factor. WISE MIKE was outrun. Overweight— Pritty Watch, 1 pound. Long Bow claimed by Hillside Stock Farm. Tus One claimed by Carolyn K Stable. Attendance, 18,838; Total Mueuel Pool,, 71 9,858.
