Harry-Lou Out to Make Amends at Beulah Today Schroeder Racer Has Mr. Monica As Chief Rival in Johnson Purse By HUGH J. McGUIRE Staff Correspondent BEULAH PARK, Grove City, Ohio, May 14. — Harry-Lou, who races for A. Schroeder and who could do no better than third in his engagement here on Monday, will attempt to make amends for that defeat in the featured Tom Johnson Purse at this Central Ohio course tomorrow. The hardhitting son of Half Crown will not find his placing any sinecure for he is aligned against stiff competition in the feature which is a dash of six furlongs under allowance conditions. One who is certain to provide stout rivalry in the test is Mr. Monica who carries the silks of B. and Mary A. Harrell. Mr. Monica gave evidence of present fitness when he was a convincing victor over sloppy going on the opening day program here on Saturday, and a similar display here could find him taking top honors. Blue Express, from the stable of J. An-narino, will be making his seasonal debut at this track in the feature. Clockers report him as ready for a top performance and unless he needs another race to complete his conditioning, he could be troublesome. George McFarlands Fighting Man, a creditable third at last asking over this course, is not overmatched against horses of this calibre and there are several others in the headliner who would not occasion too much surprise by a tally. In the fifth race, F. J. Wilsons Alapay, a winner here the other day, will attempt to add another score*to his record. In the final race of the afternoon the only test farther than six furlongs on the eight-race program, Stepinfox, Hal Jay and Belo-play and Mighty Falcon promise to provide keen comtention at the one mile distance.
