► White SoxToppIe Boston In Seven-Inning Game, 6-3 By the United Press The Chicago White Sox erupted for six runs, only two of them earned, in the sixth inning: yesterday to beat the • rains and give pitcher Bill Henry of the Boston Red Sox his first defeat, 6-3, before 5,040 Comiskey Park fans. The game was called after seven innings when a heavy rain began. It was Bostons sixth straight defeat, and the club has yet to win on the road this season. The game finally was called after one hour and 19 minutes of waiting. Al Zarilla started the Red Sox downfall with a single and Orestes Minoso doubled. After Sam Mele popped out, Eddie Robinson singled to drive home the two earned runs. Robinson reached third when third baseman Vern Stephens let Phil Masis grounder go through his legs for an error. Robinson scored after Chico Carras-quels fly, and Sam Dente singled to drive in Masi. Pitcher Saul Rogovin, who won his third victory against one defeat, belted a home run into the left field lower deck for the final two * tt markers. Rogovin gave up only seven hits and all the Boston runs came in the first three innings. Rookie Sam White hit his second home run in the second. In the third Dom DiMaggio singled, stole second and scored on Stephens single. Stephens tallied on Walt Dropos triple.
