Nola Hash Outruns Her Male Rivals at Suffolk Gives Annaloro and Terese Stable Double After Annexing Feature By FRED GALIANI Staff Correspondent SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., J May 21. — When Evan Jenkins let Annaloro and Tereses Nola Hash run in the featured Cedar Glenn Purse the- three-year-old filly j fled like a frightened fawn from the midst of the pack to take the lead and hold it to the end. A half length back of her came Mrs. E. A. Froelichs favored Pacific Bound, who was a length before Beverly Farms Lunation. It was six more back to the closest horse, Wolfcamp. Nola Hash was completing a double for the stable, their Alot o Lake winning the fourth race under Joe Spinale, while the rider of Nola Hash was Evan Jenkins. The winning combination returned .60 as a close second choice. The time for the six furlongs was 1:13% over the sloppy track. A crowd of 11,582 turned out for the sport on a day that started off nice enough but gradually darkened through the afternoon. By the time the feature went to the post it was more of a gray December day than one in May. No favorites won up to the seventh race, but there was two Daily Continued on Page Thirty-Six Nola Hash Outruns Hep Male Rivals at Suffolk Gives Annaloro and Terese Stable Double After Annexing Feature Continued from Page One Doubles as the first race resulted in a dead heat between Abbys Rhymer and North Clark. The first horse coupled with Gee Whiz, winner of the second race, was good for 1.40 and the second horse with Gee Whiz paid 9.40 in the pool. Nola Hash was winning her first race of the year and this was her second try at the meeting. She came up from the Fair Grounds in New Orleans with a stop at Laurel for two losing races. The best she did was third in Maryland. Wolcamp set most of the early pace before Twintone and Lunation, while Nola Hash was settled back in fourth spot in the run down the far side. Nearing the far turn Lunation moved up to challenge Wolf-v camp, but Jenkins let Nola Hash run and in a few seconds she had passed all of her rivals on the outside and was sailing in front as they straightened home for the drive. Twintone had dropped out of it and Pacific Bound was making a move far on the outside. Jenkins, aware of Pacific Bounds bid, shook his mount up in the stretch, hitting her a couple of times, and the filly responded to defeat the favorite. Lunation lasted for third and Wolfcamp tired from his early efforts, was far back in fourth place. Cross Wises streak of four straight came to an end in the sixth race, his last bid falling short as he went under by one and a half lengths to I. J. Whites Beaming Light, who took the lead in the early stretch and held on to win. W. F. Man-noghs Atom Ride was third in the sprint. Under Joe Martin, Beaming Light covered the six furlongs over the "off" track in 1:13 and paid 3.40 to her backers.
