JUST EIGHT sprinted to a good lead right- after the start and, drawing away around the stretch turn, widened his margin and was never in danger. BILL TWIG was outpaced for the first half mile/then came: steadily and was gaining on the winner. ROUNDELEER improved his position in the stretch to race well to the finish. ROY O. went evenly while., not being a serious contender. M00LA bore out in the stretch and tired. MATTAFOR was taken in hand early and permitted to move up gradually while striking his best stride, came to the inside nearing the stretch turn, then found an opening in the run home to get to the front near the end and win under pressure. ANXIOUS had speed, but showed an inclination to bear out in the stretch. HOBAD had the most early speed, but tired. JANES GAL passed tiring horses in the stretch. THAXTER had little trouble, taking command soon after the start and holding a slight margin over NEW STREAM to the last sixteenth, then drew out to win under mild pressure. FAST BUCK was never too far removed arid turned in a very good race to be going well at the end. SIX-THREE-FOUR raced fairly well up and was going gamely at the end. HAPPY EAST was outrun for the first quarter, then made a strong run on the outside through the stretch to easily head BEST DOINGS in the last furlong and won going away. BOO BOO SHOO showed good form in making the pace and, while not a match for the winner, went in courageous fashion to the end. BEST DOINGS followed BOO BOO SHOO under restraint to the stretch, then tired and seemed sore after pulling up. HARBIL was under restraint most of he way and might be capable of doing better. BOOMER was rated within striking distance of the leaders to the stretch, then came around the outside to head the field and race well to the end, Q but was all out to hold DANCE NSING. The latter was permitted to drop too far back of the pace setters in z the first half mile and might have been the winner under a hustling ride. NOBILITY edged up entering the r stretch, but was not quite good enough. HALTOM turned in an even effort. MR. DUDE weakened in the stretch. PRINCESS ANN, racing as if much the best, went to i the front soon after the start and, drawing out while ready when running in fast time, drew out from the field in the stretch to score an easy win. HOPEIDO was a fairly good contender in the early stages and responded in the stretch to be much the best of the others, but was no match for the winner. RED CHARGER was never far away and, easily passing FANCY STEP when ready, took command, although bearing out on the stretch turn and finishing well out from the rail, being hustled near the end to make success secure. OUR BEAUTY"dropped to the rear after breaking in front, was then outrun to the stretch, where he saved ground to finish fast on the inside. BELLA FIGURA had enough -chance when she raced close up in the first iialf mile, but she weakened te finish STUYVESANT was going fairly well at the end. FANCY STEP and McGRATHIANA tired. FREE AND EQUAL drew clear of the field nearing the stretch turn, but was not good enough. CAN LOCATE broke wel, then dropped back, but came again in the stretch. HEAVENLY HASH tired.
