Shoemaker Grounded Ten Days By Hollywood Park Stewards HOLLYWOOD PARK, Inglewood, Calif., May 2 1 .—J ockey Willie Shoemaker has been * suspended for 10 racing days beginning tomorrow. He was disciplined for careless riding and causing interference while astride Mucho Hosso in the Golden State Breeders Handicap here last Saturday. Shoemaker will be permitted to ride any stake mounts he has already on file with the board of stewards and this week-end will handle Tiger Sir in the Will Rogers Stakes. Because jockey Willie Shoemakers engagement to ride Tiger Sir in the Will Rogers Stakes Saturday was not filed until two days after the offense for which the board of stewards gave him a 10-day suspension, he will not be permitted under the California rules of racing to accept the mount, it was announced today by presiding steward Wendell P. Cassidy.
