t i ; : ► : Triple Time-Inlet Miss Entry Choice at Suffolk Lister Pair Will Try to Atone For Recent Defeat at Meeting By AVERY BROWN Staff Correspondent SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., May 21. — Mrs. B. F. Listers pair of Triple Time and Inlet Miss get a chance to atone for their failure last week to live up to expectations in a featured sprint* when the two are sent back in the Bear Hill Purse here tomorrow. Hierapolis, who won the dash last Friday, easily defeating Triple Time, is absent from tomorrows line-up, in fact all of tomorrows opponents are from barns which did not compete in that offering. The Bear Hill is for sophomores which have never won two races and will be contested over the mile and 70 yards route. Although Triple Times last race was not up to par, she did manage to get down in time to take the place award, which was her third straight second at the meeting. The added distance of tomorrows race appears suitable should she lack the early speed again. Usually a quick starter, the Bull Brier filly was far back of the field on Friday and closed with good energy. Her previous races were patterned on the style of outrunning the opposition. Weight should not hamper either of the Lister fillies in the Bear Hill. Triple Time gets in with 107, while her stablemate is to carry 105 pounds. The topweight of the seven listed starters will be shouldered by Greenbrier Stables Bon Victoire. The Whirlaway colt has started twice at the meeting without any return of part of the purse to his owners. Although Bon Victoire was in Florida all winter, he failed to race and may have needed his last two efforts to attain the sharpness he will need tomorrow. The fast-closing second turned in by R. R. Damons Cellini against Desirable Saturday stamps the Alsab colt as a prime factor in the Bear Hill. A non-winner of 18 starts in his lifetime racing, Cellini has been close on numerous occasions. Some of the top three-year-olds racing, here were back of the Damon colt on Saturday and should" he repeat that effort, the impending Yankee Handicap will gain another -potential from the local three-year-old crop. The others in the feature are Mrs. J. Kelleys Zenas Zepher, a winner over ,500 platers at a mile and a sixteenth, earlier in the meeting; W. L. Huntleys Flight Patrol, still seeking graduation from the maiden ranks and another maiden, Mrs. M.Thorpes Palaje. Tomorrow marks the first day of the new policy at Suffolk Downs to offer nine races daily. The fields in the supporting events are well subscribed with thoroughbreds of the cheaper grade getting their chance to perform.
