Take Over New Assignments Two well-known Ohio harness horsemen assumed new training and driving duties this week. Walter "Pee Wee" Welch of Columbus took over as head trainer for Dave Resnicks Peter Pan Stable of Canton, Ohio, while Ken Cartnal of Hanover, assumed similar duties for the A. L. Derby string of Wichita, Kan. Among Welchs charges will be the stakes winning trotting mare Kashaplenty. Cartnal inherits two Hambletonian candidates in the fillies Dinner Date and Wichita Queen. Derby won the 1944 Hambletonian wit the filly Yankee Maid.
