TIGER JAY was alertly sent into a clear lead, increased his advantage at will and won with ample reserve. BAKERS RAIDER could not stay wtih the pace after a quick beginning, but came on again when urged in the drive and evenly held the others safe SPRING MORN began sluggishly, saved ground and improved position on the turn, but could not reach the top pair. JET RAIDER raced between horses throughout and finished well. PENELEOS raced prominently placed but faltered. FIRST SPUR saved ground. JOANNYS JILL began poorly. PADDOCK KITTEN showed nothing ... CONVERT was an alert factor from the beginning while finding ample room racing .next to the rail, assumed command while saving ground in the drive and lasted to hold the opposition clear. LAST BRIGADE was unable to contend early, had to swing wide around horses for the drive and closed with a rush. GREAT WHIRL was under intermittent urging while keenly contending from between horses and weakened only slightly. STAR Z. was unhurried away from the gate, ran up behind the leaders and had to be taken in hand at the head of the stretch, loomed boldly when taken to the outside, but hung. RISSAS SON was lightly steadied while showing good speed, then tired as if short in the final stages. MILITANT LADY weakened in the drive. FERN GOLD could riot reach the leaders while racing wide. SWEET BUTTER showed nothing. SQUARE DANCER was allowed to settle in stride, steadily wore down the leaders after a half mile, came to the outside on the final turn and then disposed of MARCH AGAIN under punishment. MARCH AGAIN, forced back leaving the gate slipped through next to the rail closing fast on the final turn and reached the front, then was not a match for the winner. BOMBAZINE could not get up, but finished well to best tiring horses. OUR TOWN was under intermittent restraint, then faltered when challenged on the stretch turn. A-PACOPEP was stoutly restrained to keep from running up between horses down the backstretch and on the far turn, closed willingly when roused entering the stretch and headed WISE IDEA, then bested that one under hand rousing. WISE IDEA began well and moved up on the inside to wrest command on the final turn, then fought it out willingly "with the winner, but was not good enough. COBBER, unable- to untrack himself early and far back, closed a big gap to gain his placing. FIGHTING LARK could not open a clear lead early and quit. BLUE JOSIE was done early. GIGGLE raced along evenly saving ground behind the first flight and in the clear, was taken to the outside to challenge coming into the stretch,, closed fast and, under extreme pressure, was up to best GIGOLO. The latter had the most speed from the start, was under pressure to maintain a long lead and then was tiring fast at the end, but just missed. GLEN ESK was in contention between horses and under urging, then failed to respond for the final test FOX RUN saved ground after a slow start and caught tired horses. THE EAGLE was on the inside, tired and stumbled after a half mile. QUIZ MASTER could not reach the front under pressure and quit. BIDDY JANE broke well and-was under steady handling while racing behind the leading pair, was attempting to lug in and had to be taken out strongly to come around I SALUTE entering the last furlong, but closed determinedly and outfinished CAJOLE. The latter, slow getting started, raced on the outside, steadily improved her position and drew abreast of BIDDY JANE in the early stretch, then was not good enough, although finishingly gamely. I SALUTE was closest to WISE SCHOLAR and, occasionally taken lightly in hand, went to the front between calls in the last furlong, but weakened only slightly. COUNTESS JANE appeared to flounder and could not keep up after an alert beginning, raced between horses and closed with good courage near the end. EMARDEE finished well. WISE SCHOLAR began fastest and held a clear lead into the stretch, then faltered badly when punished. PETITE LASSIE raced on the outside throughout. DONT ARGUE was not pressed for speed. MULLY S., well ridden and reserved off the pace, closed strongly under hand urging in the stretch drive and won going away. GO BETWEEN . rapidly wore down UNIFICATION after five furlongs, opened a clear lead between calls, but willingly gave way to the winner. UNIFICATION was under wraps while sprinting far out in front of the field, shortened stride on the final turn, but held on fairly well after being displaced. The latter, under a steadying hold while far back, rallied from the head ofthe stretch and finished fast. BURTS REWARD was rated in company with WISE MIKE and rallied strongly. APACH1CO never was far back, loomed boldly on the turn, but was forced wide and floundered when set down for the drive. ALWAYS HOME faltered. TUS ONE did not like the going.
