I Fourteen-Horse Field In Reigh Count Purse Reno Unique and Engineer Carry Equal Imposts of 116 at Omaha By J. SWEENEY GRANT Staff Correspondent! AK-SAR-BEN, Omaha, Nebr., May 27. The Reigh Count Purse, mile and one-six teenth event for three-year-olds and older platers, headlines tomorrows program. Fourteen were named to contest the issue in which the winner could come from any quarter. Ben Fogelsons Reno Unique, George J. Schatz Late Ann, B. Reynolds Engineer, Carl "Craigs Teddysun and the Verde Stock Farms Leicandy, appear the more formidable entrants. Other starters include W. Cliiers Gabriel T., A. E. Bow-ens Copper Islam, W. L. Bushs Bus Mar, J. W. Coopers Apron Face, Oren Couchs Lums Treasure, Mrs. Sayde Foleys Star Lass, Edward Luthers Lighted Candle, Mrs. A. Manzos Magic Pair and M. Scfimitz Dinghau. Under the claiming conditions of the Reigh Count, Reno Unique and Engineer will carry equal top imposts of 116 pounds. Reno Unique has two victories to his credit this year. He is a mud-runner of note and perhaps will be benefitted by a heavy or slow strip which is likely to prevail tomor- row. He has campaigned earlier in the year at the Fair Grounds course in New Orleans, where he won his first start of the year. Later he was shipped to Oaklawn then on to Chicago. Engineer finished third to Tipster and Short Red in his first appearance here. He was decisively beaten in that encounter, contested over an extremely sloppy track. Improvement is expected. Teddysun has been lightly campaigned this season. He did not start until the latter pari of last month. In his first race after a lengthy rest the Craig racer made a good showing against similar rivals in an intermediate distance event at Golden Gate. His recent workouts here have been impressive. In former years he has displayed a decided fondness for the local strip. Late Ann was third in her first start here in a race in which she met with repeated interference during the early running. The shifty miss closed determinedly when clear in that six furlong essay and she most likely will relish like added yardage of the Reigh Count. Leicandy, who is on the "also eligible" list, disappointed at short odds last time.
