SCOTCH ROCKS improved position between horses on the final turn, came to the outside when roused and was along to outfinish LADY. FINN. The latter assumed command after a half mile, continued on gamely, but was not good enough. COURT GRAND, on the outside most of the trip, swerved slightly in the stretch and was unable to menace. DIXIES PAL caught tiring horses. KEENO showed speed for a half mile and weakened. IRISH TALE had no mishap. MARLEE KING quit. The others were outrun. SEVEN PILLARS improved position gradually on the outside to engage the leaders inside the final furlong, gained command when put to a drive and drew out. GAVILAN rushed boldly on the final turn to take command, was unable to draw clear, but held on tenaciously. KING TAOS rallied from off the pace, but was forced to lose ground on the extreme outside. STAR SPOT moved to a contending position, then failed to respond. VIRGINIA R. W. weakened. ARKMO was under early pressure to remain close to the pace and had nothing left at the end. DAVIDS CHANCE showed nothing. LADY JACSUN raced up to the leader after a half mile and faltered. COMMITMENT flashed brief speed. FIGHTING LOUIE was unable to keep up. BE PROUD quit. IN DEEP, a forward factor without urging, overtook the leader when roused and drew out easily. MISS BETH drew clear soon after the start, maintained her advantage to the final furlong, shortened stride and was tiring. DUTCH PENNY, sluggish from the barrier, worked his way up between horses and closed with good energy. DARE DEVIL was closing stoutly at the end. MICKEY FOSTER flattened out after a brief challenge: GOOD ZEPHYR showed nothing. MISS CHALLA was never prominent. SUPER SPEED went evenly. SWEET SANDY raced wide. Overweight Mickey Foster, 1 pound. The latter sprinted into a commanding lead at once, increased her margin after a half mile, saved ground and held on stubbornly while tiring. LARRY ELLIS moved around the field to take command after a half mile, drew clear and was-sent to the inside, responded willingly and held SPATS safe. The latter, under steadying restraint close to the pace, was steered to the outside as the winner moved and pressed determinedly to the end. DOGS UP saved ground to best the others. OLD TOM had speed for a half mile and weakened. REGAL had no mishap. EXEMPLAR tired. EQUIHAZE forced the pace along the inside, but tired in the final furlong. EIGHTH RACE 1 MILE AND 70 YARDS. SHELL DIVER worked his way up on the outside to reach the leader entering the stretch, assumed command under steady urging and withstood a challenge from ANGEL FOOD. The latter, in hand and saving ground to the stretch, rallied when set down and was pressing at the end. ZENAS ZEPHER outran the field to take a clear lead at once was held together very well when challenged and proved stubborn to the end. CLASSY CHANCE caught tirina horses. FANCY TALK had no mishap.
