Andrae Emond Pilots Montaera For Fortieth Saddle Success CRANWOOD PARK, Warrensville Heights, Ohio, May 27. The weather man provided another delightful -afternoon for the racing card and 3,697 fans were on hand. In the opener, R. L. Hannas Sweet Orphan recovered from a rather ragged start and reached the wire four lengths in front of J. T. Kirbys Flood Town. Second choice in the wagering, with jockey Stanley Austin in the saddle, the return was .40 for each invested. J. I. Losens Bold Moment with jockey Richard Bell up was the winner of the second race and completed the Daily Double for 6.20. W. T. Fugates Montaera and Jockey Andrae Emond withstood a claim of foul in the seventh race, one of the better offerings on the afternoons card. Montaera was three-quarters of a length better than A. Barrs Tor Mel at the wire and returned an 1.00 mutuel after being clocked the six furlongs in 1:14. In riding this winner, Emond celebrated the 40th winning mount of his career and. also the loss of his privileged five-pound apprentice claim.
