Begin Booking Wine List For 1953 Breeding Season LEXINGTON, Ky., May 27. Wine List, by Questionnaire Fizz n., by Manna, has a full book for his first season at stud at Grant A. Dorlands Roseland Farm No. 2. Because there was some question of further racing for the A. E. Reuben Harry Trot-sek standardbearer, final arrangements for his first season were not made until early this year. In spite of this late start his book filled rapidly, with 20 good mares having been booked for 1952. Among Wine Lists mates will be Shake Down, dam of Porters Broom; Beautician, a winning half-sister to that same good stake horse; Dicks Gal and Cashier, both handicap winners; Sweepilla, stake winner and stake producer; Dame Mariechen, dam of a stake winner; and Rodia, who produced the track recordbreaker, Rodrigo. The stallions managers, Dorland and Elmo Shropshire, announce that his 1953 book is now open. A unique contract, which protects current breeders in future seasons, will again be in effect for next year. If Wine List does as well as his fertility tests indicate he might do, it is expected that 30 mares will be accepted for 1953 at the same fee of 00 to guarantee a live foal.
