Biddy Jane to Face Starter In Miss America Stakes DETROIT, Mich., May 27. James R. Collins, Motor City sportsman, announced today that his crack two-year-old filly, Biddy Jane, victress in the Rancocas Stakes last week, will be shipped to Hawthorne to fill her engagement in Lincoln Fields Miss America Stakes, which is to be decided June 7. She also is engaged for the Polly-anna Stakes, Arlington Park, June 21, the Lassie at the same course on July 23, and the Princess Pat Stakes at Washington Park, August 30. Silver Jet, a quick juvenile colt in the Collins stable, is slated to start in the Primer Stakes at Arlington June 18. The youngsters will run under the silks of Mr. and Mrs. Collins.
