Preponderance of Fillies Among Sprihgside Foals Fourteen of Twenty Youngsters At Farm Members of Distaff Side VERSAILLES, Ky., May 27. Fillies were very much in the limelight during the recently completed foaling season at Charles A. Kenneys Springside Farm here. The master of Springside today listed 20 newcomers at his nursery and 14 of these are members of the distaff side. Kenney has mares belonging to several owners at his place and the youngsters are the property of seven different sportspeople. "Having a majority of fillies is no new experience to me," said Kenney, "for such was the rule when I was at Coldstream. Mr. Shaffer even started to have me psychoanalyzed one time in an effort to have me shake off the filly complex. Seriously though, I am not at all disappointed with my filly crop since the majority of them will certainly be slated to become producers of the future, so well-bred are they."
