Carter; bred by W. G. Talbot. WENT TO POST 5:21. OFF AT 5:21 CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won easily; second and third driving. REBEL RAIDER was eased back when in rather tight quarters entering the stretch, then came through on the inside nearing the far turn to move up nearing the stretch turn and, saving ground on the turn, easily took command to win in hand. ILLUSTRATION was always a prominent factor and, while no match for the winner, went well to the end. TRICKY MAUD made the pace, but had little left for the final drive, although easily best of the others. BLACK MITTENS raced evenly. FOXY BUSTER had some early speed. FIRST SECURITY was taken back at the start, but failed to respond when called upon. Overweight Illustration pounds; Tricky Maud, 3; Black Mittens, 4; Narcissus, 1;: First Security, 1.
