Eight Distaff Members In Beulah Park Feature Lenwell May Be Favorite Off Late Races; Once More Contender By R. E. HURLEY Staff Correspondent! BEULAH. PARK, Grove City, Ohio, May 27. Eight members of the distaff side have been named overnight to contest the featured seventh race tomorrow. The Modern Finance Purse, which has been endowed with ,100 of purse money. The fillies and mares, four-year-olds and upward, will settle the issue at one miie and a sixteenth. s G. McFarlands Lenwell has the best form of the field, coming from two good seconds at the same distance and class bracket that she will be meeting tomorrow. This seven-year-old mare has. been very solid in her races at the Beulah oval and should support her backers with her usual honest effort. Most dangerous of the other entrants are Mrs. J. Bronnenbergs Once More, D. Reb-mans High Test and E. Albrights My Keen. This trio of misses has been providing close competition to stronger colts and geldings and will be certain to contend better against members of their own sex. Once More comes off a winning distance effort in which she toyed with her field, winning by six open lengths. This was accomplished against slightly inferior rivals than she is scheduled to meet tomorrow, but she can provide much" spice to the race, especially if she steals off to a long lead. High Test finished behind Lenwell in her last effort but was victim "of slight crowding in that event. The size of tomorrows field will keep this possibility at a minimum and enhance the chances of the Rebman miss. My Keen has an outside chance. She was a fast-closing fourth in her last outing, coming from far back over the abbreviated three-quarters mile distance. The added distance of the feature may be just ,what this one needs to return to the winners circle. Wooten and Schantz Car-Par, Clermont Farms Black Nprlig, F. J. Wilsons Wood-more and Beth Page Studs Uranium round out the field. Any upset by these matrons would be a complete change of fashion.
