Illinois Notes FAIRMOTJNT PARK, Collinsville, HI., May 27. W. R. Ware, Jr. vanned in his. two head, Trumpet Call and the three-year-old, Stoneys Tiger, from Hawthorne. Ware will condition the pair of racers for their Fair-mount campaign. A public stable, consisting of five head arrived here under the supervision of Trainer B. E. Griffith. The shipment included G. E. Murphys Nickato and Hare, J. W. Paynes Flirtaway and Coff, and Bachelor Romp, who will race for Griffith. Enoch Rea, a regular at Fairmount Park for many seasons, arrived over the weekend from Chicago with five head consisting of Jeannie Drew, Miss Lader, Jess D., Capt. Dorsett and Dee Ed. William Popp, veteran handicapper is again making the program selections in addition to his duties in the calculating room. Jockey L. OConnell has joined the local riding colony and will do the bulk of the riding for the Quick Chance stable trained by J. E. Freshwater. Bill Sheridan is again handling the riding engagements for the popular rider, Leon Gransdart. C. J. Hohmer checked in from Chicago with Ima Duke and In Class. The latter was claimed in his last outing when he scored a victory while racing for a ,000 claiming tag. A new member of the racing secretary force is Miss Hilda Gass who is handling the duties of secretary for Robert P. McAuliffe, steward representing the Illinois Racing Board.
