Palatine Unit at Monmouth OCEANPORT, N. J., June 6. — Trainer J. H. "Slim" Pierce, handling the Palatine Stable horses of Frank Rosen, checked in at Monmouth Park and announced that: Woodchuck must be rated a definite starter in the June 14 inaugural day running of the 5,000 Oceanport Handicap at six furlongs. Woodchuck soored last Friday in the Camden Handicap at Garden State Park, and also won the Paumonok Handi- cap at Jamaica earlier in the season. Bar-! ring mishap. Pierce plans to race Wood- chuck in the Rumson Handicap at Monmouth on Wednesday, June 25 and then: may ship the speedy son of Pasteurized to Chicago. j j j
