Eight Speedsters In Commonwealth t Charleston, Sun Rene, Idio, Duke Aumar and Spats Clash . In Suffolk Downs Main Event By AVERY BROWN Staff Correspondent SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., June 6. — The sixteenth running of the Commonwealth Handicap, ,000 added six-furlong dash, heads the program at this seaside oval tomorrow. Eight speedy eli-gibles have been named overnight for the feature, including a coupling of Phil Schwartz Charleston and Busy Signal. However, the field may be reduced by post time. Busy Signal is also entered in the Berkshire Purse, to be run as the fifth race, and War Token is entered in the eighth race with Tilenny as the Anthony Cataldo coupling. Charleston is the top weight of the Commonwealth under his impost of 116 pounds conceding from three pounds to Dave Shaers Sun Rene up to 15 pounds to his stablemate, Busy Signal. The son of Some Chance will be seeking his third straight triumph of the meeting to remain unbeaten this year and also annex his second straight stakes. Charleston won the Plymouth Rock .Handicap here, defeating Ralph Lowes Pictus.* Charley Burr, who is riding in good form and a popular favorite with local fans, rides the Schwartz star and looms as the choice of the select field. - Sune Rene is a newcomer to New England, having recently shipped from Belmont Park where he won the Don Bingo Classified Handicap on Memorial Day. The ffve-year-old son of Sun Again, a Calumet castoff , defeated The Diver, War King and Dark favorite in that race, coming from off a sizzling pace to accomplish the victory. Tomorrows race should be made to order for the invader, with such speedsters as Mrs. M; Rogans Duke Aumar, Bertrando Brothers Idio and Mrs. G. Robertsons Spats in the field to cut out a rapid pace. No rider has been named for Sun Rene. Keene to Ride Duke Aumar Duke Aumar will have the services of the countrys leading rider, Harold "Red" Keene, who has piloted the Airflame gelding in two victories in his last three outings here. * A fast breaker who will have his pursuers dizzy if they attempt to run with him, Duke Aumar has been reacting kindly to Keenes handling and may be a stubborn foe for the highly regarded members of the field. Idio has won three of four local starts this year, but has beaten lesser opposition than he meets in the Commonwealth. Despite, the raise to better company, the Heliopolis gelding can not be held too lightly because of his speed and stamina displaced in each outing. The 104 pounds Idio has been assigned makes him a potent factor. Spats is a hard-hitting mare that fits into the picture very nicely under her 106-pound impost. The daughter of Cravat has won twice over the loval oval and has been right there in four other sprints against the best. Busy Signal and War Token appeared better suited in the other races in which they have been entered. The other members, of the Commonwealth is Mrs. E. Brunos Amphiblen, who has not been postward since the running of the 0,000 Cincuentenario de La Republica Handicap at Havana in March. -In that stake, a mile and a quarter event won by Seaward, Amphiblen was well beaten and it is not likely that he will be ready for such a test as he is certain to get in tomorrows feature.
