OUR BULLY improved position gradually on the extreme outside, bore in repeatedly hampering the rider in the stretch, then forged to the front in the final stride. LEFTY JIM opened a clear lead soon after the start, saved ground throughout and «■ just missed. SEVEN PILLARS moved into contention on the final turn, but was unable to menace. WAR TORO had no mishap. TROY ROAD steadied along the inside, lacked racing room when set down and was unable to make up ground when clear. VIRGINIA R. W. was unable to keep up. MOON NIGHT flashed brief speed. FIGHT FOR IT lacked early speed. BOUNCING BABY and BEHOLD were outrun. GILDSIE had no mishap. ARKMO was never prominent. BOLD BRENNAN lacked early speed. CHALTRICK was unable to keep up. The others were outrun. MISS COLEY moved to the lead in the stretch, drew clear and faltered. OXLIN closed with good energy along the inside. BEV G. rallied mildly after breaking away-from close quarters entering the stretch. - MISS CHALLA caught tiring horses. GATICA-LINDA had speed to set the pace, weakening in the final furlong. BOUND moved into contention on the final turn, came to the outside for the drive and was along to outfinish ELISANN. The latter improved position gradually to reach closest attendance of the leader on the final turn and was pressing at the end. SCHEMING WORLD disposed of PRINCESS HOPE before a half mile, increased his advantage in the stretch, then faltered. IF COMING rallied mildly in the late stages. ASTEROIDE went evenly. POP-BOTTLE, a trailer to the far turn, moved around horses to the final turn, gained room along the rail as the leaders went wide, assumed command and drew out under light urging. TOOTSIE McCABE forced the pace and held on gamely. EASY CHOP rallied mildly in the late stages. AMEN was best of the others. SKEIN caught tiring horses. HURRY PASS went along close to the pace for five furlongs, weakened and was carried wide. EMERALD BELLE established the pace for six furlongs, tired and drifted out. MARTHAS WAVE, forwardly placed on the outside, moved into command entering the stretch and withstood a sustained drive to prevail over JONES BROOK. The latter broke alertly, was taken back and steadied to the final quarter mile, responded to pressure and was catching the leader. LUNATION rushed boldly on the outside to be near the leaders and hung. BALSA lacked early speed and failed to make up appreciable ground when roused. WOLFCAMP raced MARTHA P. into submission, then faltered. MARTHA P. assumed an early lead under light restraint, gave way on the far turn and weakened under steady urging. IM SANDY assumed command at once, drew clear and was placed under steadying restraint, saved ground throughout, gave way momentarily to SHELL DIVER, then came again to outfinish the latter. SHELL DIVER, in closest attendance of the pace throughout, moved on the outside to gain command and just missed. ANGEL FOOD, never far off the pace, rallied mildly, but was unable to menace. BON VICTOIRE broke sluggishly, was placed under strong restraint to the final turn, moved in behind the field and passed tiring horses at the end. FANCY TALK was outrun.
