Governors Pace Headlines Jacksons Closing Program JACKSON, Mich., June 6. — Leon A: Slavin, president of the Jackson Raceway, is well satisfied with the 32-day harness i meeting which will wind up here tomorrow night. Nine races are scheduled for decision on the final card with post time set at the regular hour, 8:25 p. m. Feature offering on the closing night bill is the ,000 Governors Pace, at one mile and one-half and a half-dozen, shifty pacers are entered in the important test. Walter McHmurray, who is pressing Ed Barnes for major driving honors at the current meet, will drive Director; Foy Funderburk is to be at the reins behind Brother Harmony, while Harry Snodgrass will handle My Chief. Peter L. Scott, with John Marsh in the sulky; Our Goldie, who is to be driven by; Paul Lucas, and Joe Jester, Al Niles in the sulky, round put the starting band for the Governors Pace, which promises to be one of the real highlight events of the successful local harness season.
