Im Sandy Proves Game Winner at Suffolk Downs SUFFOLK DOWNS, East Boston, Mass., June 6— Jay-Bob Stables Im Sandy, who has been close up against the best sophomores here in most of her races, proved a game miss this afternoon as she outgamed Rebel Stables Shell Diver in the featured Nahant Purse. The pair were noses apart through the final furfong of the file and sixteenth test and it was necessary for the photo to separate them at the end. Four lengths back, Mario Stables Angel Food was third in the six-horse field. Im Sandy was the fifth choice of the afternoon to succeed, paying .80. Ridden by Marshall Wilder, the daughter of The Sultan covered the distance in 1:46 over the fast racing strip. R. Slaughters Marthas Wave sprung a startling upset in the sixth event, a six-furlong dash for sophomores of the ,500 down to ,000 claiming class. The Ocean Wave filly came from off the pace to register a , nose decision over Mrs. A. R. Smiths Jones Brook and reward her backers with 09.40. The odds-on choice. in the race, Martha P., could do no better than finish •sixth after setting the early pace under Charley Burr.
