Three Oklahoma Stables Check In for Ak-Sar-Ben Meeting OMAHA, Nebr., May 7.— Three Oklahoma stables are among the recent arrivals at Ak-Sar-Ben conditioning for the Omaha tracks opening, Tuesday, May 19. C. D. Alexander of Guyman, Okla., has sent 15 runners under the care of trainer A. P. "Gus" Johnson. Tops in the Alexander string are four horses that ran at Ak-Sar-Ben last year, Big Whale, Toke Ann, Dopey and Brogander. J. L. Cooper, Clinton, Okla., horseman, is training 11 horses including seven owned by H. B. Mershon. Cooper is spending considerable time with Some Fiddle, two-year-old colt sired by First Fiddle. Walton Lewis of Marland, Okla., has arrived with his five-horse string, winners of twelve races last year. Concrete, eight-year-old gelded son of War Dog, won five last year. Opening feature of Ak-Sar-Bens 35-day meeting is the ,000 Ak-Sar-Ben Inaugural Handicap.
