Aid Trainers Hit By Fire SPORTSMANS PARK, Cicero, 111., May 7. — Harold C. Hoffman, secretary-treasurer of the Horsemens Benevolent and Protective Association in this district, advises that assistance checks have gone out to 15 members who lost their belongings in the recent fire at Fairmount Park. Hoffman also reports that trainer Elmer Ness, who was stricken with polio last autumn, is progressing slowly at the Hines Hospital and will be well enough soon to spend some week ends at home. Ness has been turning out some fine leather billfolds, belts, etc. Hoffman states than any of the members interested in such items may place an order.
