BREAKERS, forwardly placed and -saving ground from the beginning, remained next to the inner rail for the stretch run and, taking command near the furlong pole, held GOOD TIMES safe. GOOD TIMES, away fast and a sharp factor from the start, responded •? readily when hard urged during the drive but could not overtake the winner. MLLE. LORETTE gradually worked _ way forward and closed strongly in a good effort. ACTUATE took an early lead, set the pace until inside the m stretch, then faltered when challenged by BREAKERS. GUY was outrun. ALIE-ED was never prominent. J DAVELLE was far back the entire trip. LE COQ HARDI began sluggisly, was hustled to reach serious contention, then tired during the stretch run. PETES VIGIL, in hand to the last three-eighths mile, responded to punishment approaching the stretch and, after taking command, held on gamely under urging to retain a clear advantage to the finish. BLENDID MUSIC, never far back and saving ground, closed willingly under brisk handling but could not reach the winner. ISOCRATES lacked early speed, saved ground during the drive and finished strongly. TINTINA raced well until inside the stretch, then weakened. JACKS BANNER had no excuse. MISSELECT failed to stay when set down in the drive. NEW ORLEANS had no mishap. MENTAL GYMNAST was outrun. GRACILE quit after displaying brief speed. Attendance, 12,500 Estimoted; Totol Mutuel Pool, 61,662.
