NOLA HASH came inside for the drive and was best of the others. GRANDMA JOSIE moved along the inside to near the early pace, continued to save ground through the stretch and held on gamely. U. S. NAVY opened a commanding lead at once, shortened stride after a half mile and drifted. HARLEM KING had no mishap. RED HOOPS slipped through along t*w inside leaving the backstretch, took command and drew out readily and was in hand at the end. HESPERUS worked hts way up on the extreme outside, closed ground, but was not good enough. LUCKY DOG assumed V command tinder steadying restraint, rallied when roused on the final turn, but was unable to reach the leader. CLICK showed a good effort. BRUSH MOUTH had no mishap.
