NineTwo-Year-Old Fillies Compete in Wrens Purse My Ethelyn, Just Barbara and Queen Hopeful in Downs Test CHURCHILL DOWNS, Louisville, Ky., May 7. — The Wrens Purse, a four and one-half furlongs dash for two-year-old fillies, is the best offering on a well-balanced program scheduled for tomorrow at this spacious Kentucky Derby course. Nine speedy junior misses, seven of them winners, are entered in the dash and the overnight choices are William Hills My Ethelyn, Milton Resseguets Just Barbara, and Hasty House Farms Queen Hopeful, each pegged at 116 pounds under the Wrens allowances. Jockey Otto Grohs will handle Just Barbara, Kenneth Church is to be at the reins on My Ethelyn and Red Howell, who has displayed good saddle form in Kentucky this spring, will pilot Queen Hopeful. C on C Stables Peachtree St., Ill, Grace Kosibas Be-Mi-Dear. 106. and Sam E. Wilson, Jr.s Susan Blue. Ill pounds, also are expected to start in the headliner. The apprentice allowance was claimed for Peachtree St., who will be handled by Roy Dever, and Be-Mi-Dear. whose reinsman is young Tommy Clinch. Johnny Heckmann drew the mount on Susan Blue. Completing the Wrens probable starting band is Brent Harts homebred Rollins Kappy, Ernest H. Lanes My Front, and Hurstland Farms Scratchin Off, each in the juvenile dash with 116 pounds. Darrell Madden will guide Hy Front, Dave Erb rides Rollins Kappy, and no jockey had been engaged at a late hour today for Scratchin Off.
