MISS TAGGS avoided interference on the first turn and, taking a good lead while saving ground, easily led throughout. TEXAS FLASH met wfth trouble on the first turn and, required to take up, was unable to threaten. SPEEDY JET was bothered on the first turn and was never dangerous. His rider claimed foul against MISS TAGGS and the claim was not allowed. BONDOR, BEAU Y0UNT and MISS NATALIE were all required to take out on the first turn. SUNNY SONG ran up on the heels of MISS TAGGS going to the first turn and fell, with TEXAS TILL and BLACK TICKLE falling over her. TEAZLE moved up on the outside after going a half-mile, and taking a good lead nearing the stretch turn, increased her margin in the run home. GAY LEE responded fairly well when urged and had little trouble disposing of BASS BOY. The latter went evenly in a fair effort. NEDF0RD was required to ease on the inside rounding the far turn but continued well. JUNIOR WOLF raced wide. ARCHIBALDO and FOXY STAR tired badly. BOGALUSA was rated for a half-mile, then came forward to head the field around the far turn and draw out when shaken up in the stretch. FRUITION alternated with LEASE HOUND in making the early pace and saved ground in the stretch to hold on fairly well. ILL BE dropped back after breaking well and trailed for six furlongs and then came strongly. GOLUPTIOUS was close enough early but was unable to threaten seriously. AN0VAS moved up on the inside nearing the far turn and was in close quarters, then dropped back as if beaten nearing the stretch turn, but came again between horses in the final sixteenth and was up in the final strides. NYMPHS PRIDE went to the front on the inside when ILLSTAY bore out on the backstretch, and battling gamely to the end just failed to last. PAR BOY, outrun early, appeared strongest of all at the end. OFF AT 4:10* CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. VIRGINIA OAKS came strongly on the outside after going a quarter and easily headed the field on the backstretch, but was put to pressure in the final sixteenth when NORAS WATCH loomed as a threat. The latter dropped back to last place in the first half mile, then came strongly while saving ground in the stretch and was gaining slowly. RIVAS lost some ground by racing wide, but was going well at-the end. BURNT LOOK also finished in good fashion. McCREIGHT bore out while leading on the first turn, but again took command, only to tire in the late stages. RUSSELL TS failed to be a contender. PARALYTE and CULTURE had some early speed. Start good from stall gate. Won driving; second and third the same. SHIKAR was fractious at the post and off rather slowly, was outrun for five and a half furlongs, then came very fast in the stretch, and after being snatched up to avoid running up on the heels of RED FIDDLER, was dropped down on the inside of the latter and won going away under urging. RED FIDDLER was rated early and moved to the front when ready on the backstretch, but was unable to hold the winner. MR. EMILE improved his position in the stretch and was going well at the finish. KELLYS MISTAKE saved ground on the turns and got through on the inside of ROWDY ROBERT on the backstretch to take a short lead, but was forced tc his utmost in the stretch when the latter held on gamely. ROWDY ROBERT showed good speed in pacemaking and displayed fine courage after being headed. MICROWAVE was outrun early but was pressing the leaders at the end. TRIPLE FLIGHT dropped back to last place after going a quarter but came again in the final eighth. STOP CLOCKING raced wide. BLUE ROGUE was used up racing with ROWDY ROBERT and tired badly. EARL JR closed up well after going half the distance and finished steadily to best HARRY D. narrowly. The latter was always a good contender and held on well. BELLANOCH failed to threaten.
