Carrolls Request for Injunction In Court Test Is Denied DETROIT. Mich.. May 7.— The trotting meet at the Hazel Park Harness Raceway was scheduled to get under way tonight, with everything, on the surface at least, serene. Ray Carroll, who was ousted as head of the Building Service Employes Union AFL . which supplies the mutuel employes and other workers at the track, failed Tuesday in a court test. Carroll sought an injunction to protect his contracts with the Michigan race tracks, but Circuit Court Judge Thomas F. Maher denied his request . The BSEIU International took over the operation of the union and Carroll countered by forming an independent. The Hazel Park harness group elected to recognize the international union and this led to Carroll attempting to obtain an injunction.
