PERIPOSE was moving strongly when taken in hand, being slightly crowded at the head of the stretch, then dropped over to the rail and finished, gamely to hold the others safe. SCOTSTOUN was far back for a half mile, then circled out beyond the middle of the track for the drive and closed fast. NIMBLE MYTH dropped back when unable" to reach the pace under urging on the final turn, then held on evenly in the drive. ROB CRUSOE and GAY GALLANT lacked racing room inside horses in the stretch drive. ELMOS CHOICE was outrun. HOOP ROLLER and LAST BRIGADE quit. REVEILLE was lightly urged to wear down the early leaders, continued along evenly terrace into command after five furlongs, then held on under hand urging and staved off WAR SAN. The latter, allowed to drop back after the start, was taken to the outside, rapidly making up distance and loomed boldly entering the stretch, but then drifted out and hung. EAST BAY could not menace the top pair when clear for the drive. SPRING MORN came from far back. CHANCE SYMBOL arid FAIR TRIAD quit. MASTER SHOWMAN showed nothing.
