► Errolford Gives Mrs. Adams Honors Gwathmey Victory Makes Horsewoman Leading Owner At United Hunts Meeting The United Hunts Racing Associations annual spring two-day meeting at Belmont / Park, June 18 and 19, wasnt quite as sue- . cessful as that enjoyed for the pair of days last year, although highly commendable and entirely, satisfactory to its sponsors. Daily average attendance this year totaled 14,884, the overall mark being 29,769, while last seasons mean was 17,806, the 1952 session attracting 35,612 fans. In 1951, 33,658 patrons turned out for a 16,-829 average. *» This years daily average pari-mutuel handle was ,483,566 against ,698,015 last year and ,484,759 in 1951. Total handle this season reached ,967,132, while it hit ,372,029 for the duo of days last year and ,969,518 for 1951s two-day period. Mrs. C. E. Adams waltzed off with leading money-winning owners honors with 1,100, slightly more than the Mill River Stables ,725 second-place sum. Mill River Second Errolford, one of the most consistent jumpers in training, gave Mrs. Adams the "bankroll award" with a triumph in the Gwathmey Steeplechase on the second day. Mill Rivers total was made possible by Eternal Sons victory in the New York Turf Writers Cup on the opening card. This pair of stakes featured the two programs.
