Thomas H. McKoy Elected Director of United Hunts . NEW YORK, N. Y., June 23.— Following a board of directors meeting at Belmont Park, Amory L. Haskell, president of the United Hunts Racing Association, Friday announced the unanimous election of Thomas H. McKoy, Philadelphia, Pa., to the board. The new member was elected to replace the vacancy created by Maj. Gen. Richard K. Mellon. Due to current business pressure, the latter reluctantly resigned to create an opening lor a more active director. An owner and modest thoroughbred breeder, McKoy serves as a racing official and chairman of the Radnor Hunt Clubs race committee. Last year he was a most successful chairman for the U. S. Equestrian teams fund raising committee in the Philadelphia area. When thoroughbred racing was returned" to New Hampshire, McKoy served as president of the New Hampshire Jockey Club, operators of Rockingham Park. He held this office from 1936 until 1939, when he resigned to devote his full time to war industries. The formation of a iiew "associate directorship" was also announced. The new group shall be invited to all directors meetings and shall have the privilege to submit plans and suggestions, but due to the. current by-laws, shall lack the power of voting. By unanimous election, the following were invited to serve as associate directors: Mrs. Esther duPont Weir, Wilmington, Del.; Mrs. Cortright Wetherill, Newton Square, Pa.; Mrs. Dodge Sloane, New York, N. Y.; Mrs. Marion duPont Scott, Montpelier Station, Va.; and Mrs. Ogden Phipps, Roslyn, L. I., N. Y.
