FOXIE FISH dashed to the front early and drew out slightly, was then, headed on the stretch turn by both MEAN WOMAN and BENTONS LUCY, but continued gamely well out from the rail to again forge to the front and won drawing out under urging. MEAN WOMAN moved up fast on the outside nearing the stretch turn to take a short lead, but faltered near the end. BENTONS LUCY saved ground on the stretch turn and also weakened near the finish. HIGH DRIFT raced evenly. TAROM closed ground. GOLDEN DOLL was unable to keep up. Won ridden out; second and third driving. GERRY FRANK outbroke the others and was eased back to permit BROOKSHIRE to make the pace, then moved up on the outside of the latter in the stretch to take command, after entering the final eighth and win going away. BROOKSHIRE showed good form in pacemaking and responded fairly well to the drive. WARAVID lacked much early speed and failed to threaten, although coming steadily through the stretch. FLIGHT CAPTAIN trailed to the stretch,-then passed tiring horses. BREADWINNER moved up on the inside through the stretch but was unable to find clear sailing and weakened. Won driving; second and third the samel LADYKIN, away quickly, saved ground throughout, but was never able to draw clear and was forced to withstand several challenges and be hard ridden to win narrowly. NATCHEZ GIRL was a good contender from the start and raced with exceptional courage to the end. BROOK FLOWER, never far away, went a trifle wide in the stretch, but finished well. HOOP MOOD was also going fairly well at the end. SPOTLIGHT STAR, racing on the outside, moved up even with the leaders on the stretch turn, but faltered in the last eighth. OFF AT 4:19 CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won ridden out; second and third driving. BELLA FIGURA, as usual, was slow to get in stride and trailed for half the distance, but responded when called upon and, coming with a rush in the last sixteenth, passed GALA FETE to win going away. GALA FETE went to the front soon after the start and opened up a good advantage after going a quarter, then saved ground to race well to the end, but was no match for the winner. JACODEMA saved ground nearing the stretch turn to reach second place, but at no time threatened for the leadership. FREE FOR ME dropped back in the stretch. The others were unable to keep up. OFF AT 4:46 CENTRAL DAYLIGHT TIME. Start good from stall gate. Won handily; second and third driving. CLEAR SWEEP gained gradually , while not being hard urged and, coming very fast through the last furlong when called upon, caught SPEEDRITE tiring near the finish to win going away. SPEEDRITE beat the others away and opened up a long lead after leaving the backstretch, but tired badly near the end and just lasted to hold VIRGJNIA OAKS. The latter moved well in the stretch, but was in close quarters, then continued gamely to finish strongly. MR. BLUE SKY was going fairly well at the end. FLOYD E. gained an advantageous position after going half the distance, and coming strongly on the outside through the stretch, wore down the early leaders to get up in a drive. SKY PRINCESS was bothered going to the first turn when MR. BOB came out, but was eased back to save ground rounding the turn and getting to the front on-the backstretch, held on fairly well. LITTLE OPENER was a good contender from the start and saved ground on the stretch turn to show in front, but faltered in the final drive. SAY-BELLE was forced very wide when MR. BOB bolted on the first turn, but raced well thereafter. MR. BOB bolted on the first turn and had to be taken in hand to be straightened out. PRINCE ADARIS also suffered on the first turn.
