SHALLOW BROOK gradually raced to BEDOUIN on the turn, wrested command from the outside entering the stretch and, under steady urging, opened a long lead. BEDOUIN was alertly handled to reach the front early, held a clear advantage between calls, but could not resist the winner and weakened. RISSAS SON rallied a little behind the winner and lacked courage for the stretch drive. BLUE MIRAGE raced prominently placed in an even effort DEPAL saved ground to improve position late. ERRARD LEA faltered. SKY WORLD lost ground on the outside. WEST MILTON was outrun. MILTON BERLE dwelt at the start. GNU was hard hustled from the beginning, hugged the inner rail steadily racing to the pace and continued determinedly to dispose of IDIO in the stretch drive. -The latter quickly established a clear lead, could not withstand the winner in the drive, but remained safely best of the others. TITANS MATCH was lightly steadied in a forward position and held on fairly well. JEEPERSCREEPER lost distance racing around horses. MARSH HARE could not keep up early. AGRARIAN-U faltered. NOBLE SPARTAN lacked room to improve position on the turn. DELPHY had no mishap. FIRST SPUR was outrun. BARBECK was confidently restrained in closeattendance to the pace, had ample room on the rail to take command when roused and won with something left. HUGO YOU GO was a prominent factor and continued evenly under steady urging the last quarter-mile to best SUPER LUNAR. The latter, far back to the stretch, closed, with belated speed. SPRING FROLIC raced well out from the rail setting the pace under restraint, remained in hand until after being displaced by the winner . and weakened when put to a drive. DOVER DOLL was not a factor. MISS KNOWLEDGE quit. MISS TAFFY dropped far back after the start and was taken in hand after joining the field. Overweight— Hugo You Go, 1 pound. FOURTH RACE 5 FURLONGS. RARE ART had clear racing while improving position next to the rail, then gamely responded to punishment and bested VICI ADMIRAL in the final furlong. The latter shook off a challenge from HI GAIL to hold a clear lead in the stretch, but was not good enough. GREAT GUY was a formidable factor, but lacked a rally. HI GAIL, lacking room to challenge from the inside at the far turn and eased out, headed VICI ADMIRAL on the stretch turn, but faltered. SKIPPER BILL was snugly rated setting the pace, then failed to respond sufficiently when called upon in the stretch drive. NEW DREAM, outrun to the stretch, circled horses under punishment and finished well. DANDOLO could not head SKIPPER BILL under intermittent urging and weakened. JUDGE M. tired. BIMFORT easily went to the front at the start, was under strong reserve setting the pace and drew away when ready in the drive. FREE STRIDER was strongly restrained attempting to bear out on the first turn, raced within striking distance, then was forced out beyond the middle of the course in the stretch, but finished well. RUSTY could not reach BIMFORT under hard urging, but held on fairly well despite being carried wide in the stretch by LAURETTEt The latter, away -slowly, raced forwardly on the hedge, was pocketed while looming a threat on the stretch turn, then drifted out badly and impeded rivals in the drive. An objection lodged by the rider on LAURETTE against RUSTY was not allowed. PASSING HOUR faltered. HIGH TREND showed nothing. Overweight— Laurette, 4 pounds. EIGHTH RACE 1 1-16 MILES. SUMMER SCHOOL was steadied within striking distance, quickly slipped through on the rail to take command on the final turn and maintained his advantage under urging. ELFKIN, taken in hand and to the rail after the start, was far back for a half-mile, .saved ground rallying thereafter until the stretch, then had to be eased around horses and finished fast.
