The latter attained command and drew clear rapidly in the early stretch, then was unable to resist the winner. CONFUSER displayed his usual late speed. LOUGH REE raced evenly. GIN TONIC caught tired horses. REARRANGEMENT quit badly after being in front. AIR LEVEL could not keep pace. The others failed to enter contention. HUNTING FOX, rated off the pace, jumped well while lodging his bid, reached the leaders and hung in the final stages. TOURIST LIST was not good enough. JAM was a factor after the first mile and a half despite a bobble at the seventh jump but faltered in the late stages. ERROLFORD fell heavily at the first jump. The latter set the pace under good rating, drew clear when roused in the early stretch, but was unable to retain the advantage.
