AnnounceTelevision Plans For Arlington Classic Race Will Be Decided July 18; No Chicago Outlet for Fixture ARLINGTON PARK, Arlington Heights, 111., June 26. — The 55,000 Arlington Classic, worlds richest event for three-year-olds, will be televised on the coast-to-coast network of the Columbia Broadcasting System, July 18, it was announced today. In a joint statement issued by Benjamin F. Lindheimer, » executive director of Arlington Park and Washington Park, and H. Leslie Atlass, vice-president of the CBS central division, it was also revealed that there will be no Chicago outlet for the telecast. Lindheimer and Atlass also announced that details for the televising of five other major races scheduled at Arlington-Washington are being worked out, and a schedule will be released soon. The Classic will be the scene of the only summer meeting of Native Dancer and Jamie K., who have been battling it out all spring for three-year-old honors. Jamie K. ran second to Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilts spectacular gray thoroughbred in photo-finishest in both the Preakness and Belmont Stakes. Jamie K., owned by James Norris Spring Hill Stable, is due on the Arlington grounds next Tuesday to begin preparations for the mile run in the Classic. He also is anreligi-ble for next Saturdays July 4 headliner, the 5,000-added Warren Wright Memorial.
