Bobby Shantz May Appear In Relief RoleNext Week NEW YORK, N. Y., June 26 UP .—Little Bobby Shantz of the As, out of action since May 21 with a shoulder injury, may pitch sometime next week in a relief role. Shantz, the American Leagues Most Valuable Player last year, said his arm felt "all right" after a prolonged workout last night. He exercised the shoulder, which was injured in a game against the Red Sox, for "15 minutes more than usual." Coach Bing Miller supervised the workout and said the lefty "looked good" and would be ready to pitch next week unless his arm stiffens. Shantz* record is three wins and five losses.
