• Prize Winner in Another Visit to Charmed Circle Jaclyn Stable Juvenile Outpoints Joycey G. at Garden State Park By FRED GALIANI GARDEN STATE PARK, Camden, N. J., May 28. — Prize Winner carried Jaclyn Stables silks to his second score in three starts, driving over the finish line a half length before "W. P. Griffiths Joycey G., with Willie Hartack doing the scuffling. Prize Winner covered the five furlongs in :59% and paid .40. Five lengths in back of the top pair was E. K. Brysons Admiral Vee, while Tinkham Veale ILs Galcil the favorite, was fourth. Joycey G., who was an outsider in the wagering, paid 8.80 for place. A crowd estimated at 17,000 turned out in humid and sunny weather. The Double pay-off was one of the smallest of the meeting, the combination of New Haven and Sonfar returning 5. Prize Winner, a chestnut son of Ace Admiral — Court Dance, was third in his first start, then came back to whip a field of maidens on May 10. Todays event, entitled the Pittsgrove Purse, was for two-year-olds who had not won two races. Galcibo, Marys Bubble and Vray all took brief moments in the lead soon after the break, and then Joycey G. came into the picture. She rushed up boldly nearing the far turn, took on Vray and soon put that colt away. Prize Winner in the meantime had been bidding his time and as they swung around the final bend for home came up on the outside to lodge his challenge. Both Handford, on Joycey G., and Hartack, on Prize Winner, were driving desperately during the last sixteenth, but Prize Winner had his rival measured and went under a winner. Admiral Vee showed late speed to finish third.
